I am a recent JMU grad just starting out in the VA wine industry. I write at the Virginia Wine Princess to continue the memory of times spent with my mom who was both my wine tasting buddy and my blog editor.
I was brought to my first wine festival by my friend Meghan. She introduced innocent me to a world I didn’t know existed and I was in love. I have since worked and attended many more wine related events.
I appeared in a few photos on the Loudon Time’s Blog A Week in Pictures

Sarah Hudson of Trump Winery in Charlottesville pours some tastes at the second annual Purcellville Wine and Food Festival on July 20.

We even served Trump Winery’s Simply Red, Chardonnay, Viognier and SP Blanc de Blanc at my brother’s wedding in October 2013.
I have enjoyed all the perks of being a member of the VA Wine industry. It’s been really fun to get to share my love for wine with my roommate and my family.
It just so happens, right before the door or gate opens for events is a prime photo op.
I have had the opportunity to bring some of my other friends to events. I let my roommate in on my wine industry perks in exchange for editing every post I make. I can’t thank her enough for doing that considering most of my first drafts get written after a glass or two.
Though I started blogging for a class, it has turned into one of the most exciting and rewarding experiences. I even got recognized at the VA wine expo!
Now, I can honestly say I hope I can be part of the wine industry for many years to come. I spend most of my weekends at VA wineries, bottle shops, and festivals. With my blog, I hope to offer honest reviews of the places I’ve been. I hope that the experiences I’ve had and the knowledge I’ve picked up along the way will help you find a similar love for VA wine.
